Prophecy Minute

The acceptance of the Saudi Peace Plan as the peace plan for bringing resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that Israel has no right to a major part of the land they now have and Israel's Foreign Minister says that this is a recipe for Israel's destruction.

Bible prophecy seems to agree with the Israeli Foreign Minister in the fact that the Palestinians will get a state in much of what is now Israel with Jerusalem as its capital. Malachi said 2500 years ago that the Palestinians would return to rebuild a state.

No Middle East peace plan will work until, indeed, Jesus comes. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

  Prophetic Prospective
Israel's Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, says that the plan President Obama has proposed for a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Saudi Peace Plan, is very dangerous and a recipe for the destruction of the Jewish state. Lieberman emphasized that the most problematic aspect of the Saudi initiative, introduced by Saudi King Abdullah and calling for Israel to return to its pre-1967 borders, was that the plan called for a Palestinian right of return which would mean that the majority population in the Jewish state would be Palestinian.

Israeli officials are becoming very concerned with the ever-increasing pressure to accept a two state solution without the Palestinians stopping all terrorist activities and recognizing Israel's right to be a state in the Middle East.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Obama administration's peace plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will not bring resolution to the problem but instead will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As Israelis watch the Obama administration seems to be setting forth its policy and taking action to follow through with the implementation of this Middle East policy.

2500 years ago, Malachi, an ancient Jewish prophet, said that the Palestinians, Edomites of Biblical times, would return to rebuild a state but God said that He would call their borders, "the borders of wickedness". Ezekiel (Ezekiel 35) and the prophet Obadiah also foretold of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that would continue and only intensify until Jesus Christ comes back to the Earth.

No Middle East peace plan will work until, indeed, Jesus comes. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

  Further Study
Today we look at the first five verses of Malachi and notice the Lord's attitude towards "Edom," the descendants of Esau, twin brother of Jacob. Verses 2 and 3 of Malachi reveal to us that the Lord "loves Jacob" and "hates Esau".

The Lord responded to Edom saying he could rebuild - but He would tear down and call Edom's borders "the borders of wickedness." Then the Lord said He would have indignation against the Edomites as long as He is God, that's forever! .

We are living in the days that Malachi wrote about, the days when the Edomites, the Palestinians, have returned, which they have done in the last 100 years. And at this time they are trying to rebuild.
